As a renowned German appliance manufacturer, Miele’s headquarters are located in its home country, and the oldest and largest production plant still operates in Gütersloh. Front-loading washing machines and washer-dryers are manufactured there, as well as various mechanical components.
The next largest Miele production plants are located in Poland (Ksawerów) and the Czech Republic (Uničov). These factories also manufacture washing machines, tumble dryers, and dishwashers. Meanwhile, electronic components for coffee machines and vacuum cleaners are produced in Romania (Braşov).
In total, Miele currently operates 14 production sites in Europe, with 8 of these being in Germany, 2 in Italy, and another in Austria (Bürmoos). The majority of Miele appliances are therefore still made in Germany, with the rest made in nearby European countries. Miele does have a factory in China (Dongguan), which primarily makes vacuum cleaners, but the components come from the Euskirchen factory.
If you’re looking for high-end appliances at reasonable prices, Miele products should be at the top of your brand list. They may seem expensive at the outset, but it’s important to remember that you’re paying for premium quality and longevity – Miele appliances can last for around 20 years.
Miele has over a century of industry growth and innovative development behind it, and this shows in the many awards and life-long customers they’ve earned. They have a first-class reputation not only in Europe but around the world, making professional-grade features accessible to everyone.
Exporting their products to almost 50 markets for both domestic and commercial use, Miele offers a unique level of reliability and effectiveness with every optimised appliance design. Many people who purchase a Miele kitchen appliance are more than satisfied, and go on to recommend the brand to others.
Since the very beginning, Miele products have been built to last. Using the highest quality materials (often recycled) and expert engineering, Miele extends the average lifespan of everyday appliances like washing machines and dishwashers by up to a decade more than other popular manufacturers.
Miele appliances are ideal for the environmentally conscious, as their eco-friendly designs conserve energy and water without ever compromising on performance levels. Miele fridge freezers keep groceries fresh for longer to reduce food waste, and Miele washing machines reduce water and detergent consumption while being gentle on your laundry, so your clothes will last much longer, too.
The German manufacturer has won numerous awards for its outstanding kitchen appliances, including many badges of honour from UK consumer champions Which?. In fact, Miele is aiming for the accolade of ‘most sustainable’ in their sector, making their appliances easily to fix and continuing to produce older components for up to 15 years to encourage repairing rather than replacing them.
